Common questions
Is there any downtime?
You'll have some redness and swelling straight after, with small bumps at the injection points that fade within a day. Swelling typically peaks around day two and can last two to seven days depending on which areas were treated. Most people carry on as normal and just cover any marks with makeup after the first day.
Does it hurt?
It's quite manageable — the filler contains numbing medicine, and we use numbing cream as well. Most people feel pressure and a slight pinching rather than anything sharp, and it sits around a 3 out of 10 for discomfort.
How many sessions will I need?
This is a single session treatment — no course needed. If you've got a wedding or big event coming up, book at least four weeks beforehand so everything has time to settle and look its best.
How long do the results last?
You'll see the result immediately, and it's at its best at about two to four weeks once any swelling has settled. From there it typically lasts 12 to 18 months, depending on your metabolism and which areas were treated.
Are there any side effects?
It's normal to have redness, swelling, tenderness and some bruising at the injection points, plus a little pinpoint bleeding where the needle went in. These settle on their own over a few days. With four syringes there are more entry points, so the chance of some bruising is higher than with smaller treatments.
